In August 2024, there were 2,214 asylum applications, which is 787 fewer (-26.2%) than in August 2023. The number also decreased by 50 (-2.2%) compared to the previous month. In 2023, applications had increased by over 800 from July to August. Overall, the SEM recorded 18,599 asylum applications in the first eight months of this year.
